Practice Dr. Gross
Practice Rooms
Since January 2011, our practice has been located in the newly built Saarlouis Medical Center. Here, we found ideal spatial conditions for our practice.
The reception is located in the architecturally interesting new building with ample air space and is directly accessible by elevator.
Our consulting rooms are functionally and modernly equipped. All of our consulting rooms have a computer workstation for paperless patient management and the ability to view and edit digital x-rays.
The entire practice is equipped with Wi-Fi and internet, which is available to patients as a public spot after registration.
On doctor review portals, doctors and practices are always subjectively rated by patients, according to the operators' terms and conditions. Unfortunately, this subjective assessment sometimes seems highly questionable or even deliberately false. However, evaluation criteria such as parking, practice facilities, accessibility, entertainment, etc., are hard, verifiable facts and are essentially beyond subjective assessment. We would like to address these individual points below.
Parking
Our practice has 120 parking spaces in the parking lot belonging to the Saarlouis Medical Center. All spaces are located no less than 80 meters from the building entrance. Public parking spaces are available for disabled people in front of the building and specially designated parking spaces in our own parking lot. Over the past two years, there have always been free parking spaces available for patients.
Accessibility
The practice is equipped with a ramp system in front of and behind the building. The front ramp is handicapped-accessible according to DIN standards. Electric sliding doors in front of and behind the building allow comfortable access, even for wheelchair users. Our practice is directly accessible via the handicapped-accessible elevator. The practice is equipped with widened doors to facilitate wheelchair access. The X-ray department has extra-wide sliding doors, allowing access even with stretchers. In addition to the standard patient restrooms, we have a separate designated disabled restroom.
Entertainment
The waiting room is equipped with a large-screen TV showing current news channels (without sound). The entire practice has free Wi-Fi access for patients via a Lancom Systems hotspot function. The internet connection is via fiber optic. Daily newspapers are available in the waiting area, as well as a wide selection of current magazines (Focus, Spiegel, Stern, Bunte, Gala, Auto Motor Sport, Auto Bild, and many more). For longer stays, or for patients' relatives, there is always the option of relaxing in our in-house Café and Bistro Medici. Our staff will be happy to call patients there upon request.
Practice Equipment
The practice administration is entirely computerized. A highly available server system with instant replication across two separate servers ensures maximum data security and reliability. The telephone system is completely IP-based (network-based). The system, from the multi-award-winning manufacturer Starface, enables not only telephony but also a wide range of convenient features such as a waiting list with priority announcements, mailboxes, fax-to-PDF, fax-to-email, and faxing from any application. The modern SNOM 870 telephones feature color touchscreens for ease of use. Furthermore, patients can be paged from any telephone in the various waiting areas and in the Café Medici. All consulting rooms are equipped with handwashing and disinfection facilities. To improve hygiene, all surface materials have been selected according to the latest disinfection criteria. Our X-ray system meets the most modern standards. We are one of the first practices in Saarland to have a state-of-the-art digital direct radiography system from the renowned manufacturer Philips. For additional imaging, the practice is equipped with two new, state-of-the-art ultrasound machines, each with flat-screen monitors. Our "large" device is high-resolution at 14 MHz and features additional 3D technology and elastography. Our surface EMG computer allows for the measurement of muscle dysfunction. For therapy, the practice has a Medistream water massage bed, a Cryonics for cold shock therapy, electrotherapy devices such as Nemec and TENS, and a microwave oven. A DXA device for bone density measurement and a shock wave therapy device are available through a shared equipment network.
