Reviews of our practice on doctor review portals

Doctor review portals such as Jameda or Docinsider are becoming increasingly popular, as they offer the opportunity to form an impression of the practice and doctor before deciding to see a doctor. The ability to directly compare doctors based on reviews and ratings is also seen as advantageous.

In doctor review portals such as Jameda or Docinsider, the doctor and practice are always rated subjectively by patients, according to the operators' terms and conditions. Unfortunately, this subjective assessment sometimes appears to be highly questionable or even deliberately false. But evaluation criteria such as parking, practice facilities, accessibility, entertainment, etc., are hard, verifiable facts and essentially defy subjective assessments.

What's striking about all these portals is that the reviews are almost exclusively euphoric and full of praise, or extremely poor, sometimes with devastating criticisms. In particular, the reviews with negative reviews are often followed by devastatingly poor ratings for all practice features. These criticisms often go far beyond the goal of a correct evaluation. As a victim, you have to ask yourself whether feelings of revenge aren't the driving force behind such assessments or accusations. Interestingly, reviews with average ratings are almost nonexistent on all portals.

Even if many facts have been demonstrably assessed incorrectly and the victim provides evidence to the contrary, incorrect ratings are rarely deleted. In most cases, the operators claim that the comments are solely the subjective opinions of patients.

To give you a better insight into our practice, we would like to discuss some common review points in detail. This should enable you to assess the veracity of various reviews and the quality of a doctor review portal.

Parking

Our practice has 120 parking spaces in the parking lot belonging to the Saarlouis Medical Center. All parking spaces are at ground level and no more than 80 meters from the building entrance. Public parking spaces are available for disabled people in front of the building and specially designated parking spaces in our own parking lot. Over the past two years, there have always been free parking spaces available for patients.

Accessibility

The practice is equipped with a ramp system in front of and behind the building. The front is handicapped accessible according to DIN standards. Electric sliding doors at the front and rear of the building allow comfortable access for wheelchair users and patients with crutches.

Our practice is directly accessible by wheelchair-accessible elevator. The practice's consulting rooms are equipped with widened doors to facilitate wheelchair access. The X-ray department has extra-wide sliding doors, allowing access even with stretchers.

In addition to the regular patient restrooms, we have a separate designated handicapped restroom.

Entertainment

The waiting room is equipped with a large-screen TV broadcasting current news channels (without sound) or major sporting events.

The entire practice and the in-house café have free Wi-Fi access for patients and customers. Those interested can log in via a Lancom Systems hotspot. The internet connection is provided via a high-speed fiber optic connection.

The waiting area offers daily newspapers, as well as a wide selection of current magazines (Focus, Spiegel, Stern, Bunte, Gala, Auto Motor Sport, Auto Bild, and many more).

For longer stays in our practice, or for patients' relatives, there is always the option of relaxing in our in-house Café and Bistro Medici. Our staff will be happy to call patients there upon request.

Practice Equipment

Practice management is entirely computerized. A highly available server system with instant replication across two separate servers ensures maximum data security and reliability.

All consulting rooms are equipped with a computer system, including a report and prescription printer. Furthermore, the large screens in the consulting rooms allow for on-site X-ray readings.

To ensure accurate assessment of external reports, our software system has been expanded to allow the import of external CDs. This ensures that external reports are securely archived in our database, and the images are available at all reporting stations.

The telephone system is completely IP-based (network-based). The system, from the multi-award-winning Karlsruhe-based manufacturer Starface, offers not only telephony but also a variety of convenient features, such as a waiting list with priority announcements, mailboxes, fax-to-PDF, fax-to-email, and fax transmission from all applications. Incoming faxed results are immediately available in all consulting rooms and can be digitally stored directly in the patient file.

The modern SNOM 870 telephones from this up-and-coming Berlin company feature color touchscreens for ease of use. Furthermore, patients can be paged from any telephone in the various waiting areas and in the Café Medici.

All consulting rooms are equipped with handwashing and disinfection facilities. For improved hygiene, all surface materials were selected according to the latest disinfection standards.

To ensure comfortable patient examinations, all consulting rooms are equipped with electrically height-adjustable couches. For gentle and effective chiropractic treatments, an electric Rezila Isny ​​chiropractic table is located in one of the consulting rooms.

Our X-ray system meets the latest standards. We are one of the first practices in Saarland to have a state-of-the-art digital direct radiography system from the renowned manufacturer Philips.

For further imaging, the practice is equipped with two new and state-of-the-art ultrasound machines, each with flat screens. Our "large" machine is high-resolution with a 14 MHz transducer, additional 3D technology, and elastography.

Our surface EMG computer allows the measurement of muscle dysfunctions. A DXA bone density measurement device and a shock wave therapy device are available through a shared equipment network.

For the sterilization of our instruments, we have a specially equipped instrument reprocessing room with two certified sterilizers in our in-house operating room.

For therapy, the practice has a Medistream water massage bed, a Cryonics device for cold shock therapy, electrotherapy devices such as Nemec and TENS, and a microwave oven.
