The foot
The feet are a true miracle of nature: They carry our entire body weight, enable us to move, and provide stability and balance. At the same time, however, their complex structure of bones, muscles, tendons, and ligaments makes them particularly susceptible to discomfort and injury. At Dr. Groß's Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Practice, we dedicate ourselves with particular care to the diagnosis and treatment of foot disorders – always with the goal of restoring you to pain-free movement and quality of life.
A wide spectrum of foot diseases
Foot diseases can have a variety of causes and manifestations – from misalignments and wear and tear to acute injuries. The most common conditions we treat in our practice include:
- Hallux valgus (crooked big toe): This common misalignment of the big toe can lead to pain and difficulty walking. We offer conservative and surgical solutions, individually tailored to the extent of the misalignment and your needs.
- Flat, splayed and hollow feet: Congenital or acquired misalignments of the arch of the foot can lead to discomfort and subsequent problems. Our treatment approaches range from insoles to surgical correction.
- Heel pain (e.g. plantar fasciitis):Heel pain can be caused by inflammation, overuse, or calcium deposits. We use modern therapies such as shock wave therapy, injections, or individually fitted orthoses.
- Osteoarthritis in the foot and ankle: Wear and tear can severely impair mobility. From medication and physiotherapy to joint-preserving or joint-replacement surgery – we'll find the right treatment for you.
- Achilles tendon problems:The Achilles tendon is particularly susceptible to overload and injury. We offer a combination of conservative treatments and, if necessary, minimally invasive surgery.
- Diabetic foot syndrome: In diabetes mellitus, early detection and treatment of foot problems is crucial to avoid serious complications. We support you with comprehensive diagnostics and individually tailored treatment concepts.
Modern diagnostics and innovative therapies
The foundation of every successful treatment is precise diagnostics. Using modern imaging techniques, pressure measurement analyses, and clinical examinations, we analyze the cause of your symptoms and develop an individualized treatment plan. We utilize a wide range of conservative and surgical therapies to achieve the fastest and most lasting improvement possible.
Holistic approach to your foot health
Our treatments aim not only to relieve symptoms but also to address the root causes of your problems. To achieve this, we combine state-of-the-art medical procedures with close collaboration between physicians, orthopedic technicians, and physiotherapists.
